Castle of Lurano has always been a place of culture.

The Secco Suardo family preserves since centuries a precious archive of family documents, concerning the history of the territory and the city of Bergamo. The mansion hosts the Centro Studi per la Conservazione e il Restauro dei Beni Culturali (the ‘Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage Study Center); it was born around the figure of Giovanni Secco Suardo, one of the fathers of the Italian restoration.

We believe that children and teenagers can approach the topics of archival and restoration in a direct and practical way, while being assisted by prepared and passionate teachers, thus becoming Archivists for a day and Restorers for a day.
